What drives cost
Moving walls and plumbing
Structural beams and new drain lines add engineering and labor.
Custom versus semi-custom cabinets
Custom boxes fit every inch but cost more and take longer.
Age of the house
Older homes often need electrical and structural updates.
Finishes
Tile, stone and fixtures vary more than people expect.
Access and site
Tight lots and upper floors add labor.
Permits and engineering
Some towns need drawings stamped by an engineer, and permit fees vary.
Financing
Many clients use a home equity line of credit or a renovation loan. We can share lenders past clients have used (sample). We don’t earn a commission on financing.
